Artist's Description
While hiking in the Tahoe National Forest my husband and I came across of a group of forest service cabins. The variety of shapes and sizes and the way they were scattered about was very appealing from a design standpoint. I did rearrange them and situated them on a much steeper rocky hillside although they are sitting about 2000' above the American River.
About Joan Chlarson
Dutch Flat watercolor artist and teacher, Joan Chlarson, has been painting scenes of historical California especially Placer County since 1990.
